College of the Ozarks Description:

The College of the Ozarks is truly unique among U.S. colleges. Located on a large 1,000-acre campus in Point Lookout, Missouri, the College of the Ozarks describes itself as "Hard Work U" for a reason. Full-time students do not pay tuition, and the college does not participate in any federal loan programs. Instead, students work to cover many of their educational costs. The College of the Ozarks has much to brag about: it consistently ranks as a "best buy," and it is one of the most selective colleges in the U.S. The school is not for teenagers looking for a good party scene--the college has a "truly Christian environment," and alcohol and drugs are prohibited on and off campus, a combination that has earned College of the Ozarks a "stone-cold sober" reputation. The college has an impressive 13 to 1 student / faculty ratio, and the curriculum has a liberal arts core. The College of the Ozarks is one of the seven members of the Work Colleges Consortium.
